1. SATURDAY, MARCH 2 - Music with Matt Heaton at the Watertown Public Library

Matt Heaton is a local guitar slinging, kid entertaining, one-man band! He will be at the Watertown Library this Saturday morning, playing kid-friendly, original folk and surf-inspired songs with a few pops of kid classics in between. Get there early to snag a spot, and sign along to your favorite kid jams! You can find out more about Matt here and be sure to follow him on Facebook! This event is free, and best suited for ages 5 and under. 


2. SATURDAY, MARCH 2 - Kids Workshop at Home Depot, Waltham

Join the Home Depot between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm for a free Kids Workshop! This month, your child will have the opportunity to build their own butterfly house. Be sure to to arrive early, while supplies last! REGISTER HERE


3. SATURDAY, MARCH 2 - Tree Tapping at Gore Place, Waltham

Have you ever sourced your own, locally tapped, maple syrup? Come learn about the process at Gore Place and experience the start of sugar maple tapping season! Gore Place's very own Farmer and educators will bring families around the property to learn about sugar maple trees, tapping, and making maple syrup. Families will also be given a sample of maple syrup from a local tapping farm and maple sugar candies! This program does take place outside, so be sure to wear warm clothes! This is a program for families and children ages 2-12.  Reservations are required. REGISTER HERE


4. SATURDAY, MARCH 2 - Wellesley Symphony Orchestra at the Weston Public Library

Learn about brass and percussion instruments with members of the Wellesley Symphony in a program for all ages. Members of the orchestra will introduce the instruments and show families how they use the instruments to make beautiful music. 5. SUNDAY, MARCH 3 - Lunar New Year Celebration, Belmont Center

Families and friends are invited to the Belmont Pan-Asian Coalition (BPAC) in Belmont Center on Sunday, March 3, from 12:00-2:00pm for a multicultural Lunar New Year Festival! The celebration will include a lion dance, martial arts demonstrations, dance performances, and more! You will be able to find the festival at the intersection of Moore and Leonard Streets in Belmont Center. 

A Rolling Lunar New Year Parade will arrive in Belmont Center around 1:00pm. The parade begins in Chinatown and moves through Greater Boston. For more information on the festival and events, click here!
