1. FRIDAY, MARCH 15 - Watertown Children's Theatre Presents HONK! Jr.
The the young performers of Watertown Children's Theatre are sure to delight an audience of all ages with HONK! Jr. This show is based on Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fable of The Ugly Duckling. There are multiple performance times available throughout the weekend, but an important one to take notice of is the 2:00 show on Saturday as it will be a no-hush, sensory-friendly performance, including ASL translation. 2. SATURDAY, MARCH 16 - Waltham's Annual Easter Bunny Celebration
Back for another year! Come meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny at Government Center. There will also be balLoons, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, and a visit with the Waltham Fire Department! For further information, contact the Mayor's Office at (781) 314-3100.
3. SATURDAY, MARCH 16 - Brick & Stories: The Mill Girls in Story & Song at the Charles River Museum of Industry
The Charles River Museum of Industry is hosting an educational performance and presentation of the role of women in industrial America. This tour explores the trials and triumphs of mill women who worked in Boston Manufacturing Company and the Boston Associates’ textile mills in Waltham and Lowell, MA. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear songs written by the mill women, and check out artifacts and images of the women of that time. This is a free tour, but to view the other exhibits of the museum, it is requested that you pay a regular museum admission.
4. SATURDAY, MARCH 16 - Irish Music at Mighty Squirrel in Waltham
Join the Mighty Squirrel crew this St. Patrick's Day weekend with some live Irish music! Skeaf Bridge is performing live Irish music for all ages to enjoy! Come for the music, and stay for the drinks and Taqueria Mariana food truck!
5. SUNDAY, MARCH 17 - Waltham's Easter Family Fun Day!
Gather your family for Waltham's Easter Family Fun Day! This is a free indoor/outdoor event, hosted at the Waltham American Legion Hall. There will be many crafters and vendors to shop, and the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures all day long! If you'd like your child to participate in the Easter egg hunt and magic show, a ticket for $3 is required (choice of two time slots are available, 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm). All money raised through the raffles will go to Veterans in need at the American Legion. Tickets and more info can be found here!
