1. FRIDAY, APRIL 26 - Free Kids Jiu Jitsu Class
Join the friends at Atlas Jiu Jitsu for a FREE beginner friendly kids Jiu Jitsu class. This class is for ages 4-14 and no experience is needed! To show up prepared, children should wear workout clothes and a water bottle. Jiu Jitsu is a fun way for your child to build their confidence and discipline, while meeting and making new friends!
2. SATURDAY, APRIL 27 - Sheepshearing Festival at Gore Place
Come join this long-standing New England tradition! Since 1987, the Sheepshearing Festival at Gore Place has delighted thousands of visitors each year with demonstrations of traditional shearing and herding dogs, live music, handmade craft and fiber artists, and historical reenactors on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate. This is free for Gore Place members, $20 for adult non-members, and free admission for children ages 12 and under.
3. SATURDAY, APRIL 27 - Healthy Kids Day at Waltham YMCA
The Waltham YMCA is hosting Healthy Kids Day this weekend! There will be so many fun activities for kids including face painting, tie dying, story time, STEM activities, police cars and fire engines, and gardening. You'll also have the opportunity to chat with experts in mental health and nutrition, as well as many others. This event is free for the family, so stop by and have some fun!
4. SATURDAY, APRIL 27 - Movie Night with Eight Animal Martial Arts
Eight Animal Martial Arts is hosting a King-Fu Panda Movie Night! This event is free, and for children ages 4 and up. Friends, blankets, pillows, and pajamas are encouraged! Please arrive a few minutes early if possible. Light, healthy snacks will be provided but please send your child with water. Contact eightanimalmartialarts@gmail.com for more information!
5. SUNDAY, APRIL 28 - "Wake Up the Earth" Free Spring Celebration at First Parish Church, Waltham
All ages are welcome to this fun free celebration to celebrate the coming of the warm weather. There will be musical and dance performances, crafts, food, face painting and a dance around the maypole. The Tick Tock Trolley will provide transportation between 12:30-4:30. Stops will be at Chesterbrook, Hansen Road, Gardner Street and Waltham Family School between 12:30 and 4:30. This is a free event for all Waltham community members! Here is the schedule of events:
