If you have a budding scientist or engineer in your family, then your child is likely gifted with an insatiable desire to figure things out and solve problems. Edge on Science satisfies that desire with a hands-on, project-based approach to discovering applied science and engineering.

Fun, meaningful activities will have your child owning the science; owning the engineering process; going home happy and eager to return. This is the Edge on Science promise.

Week-long day programs are led by an engineer, scientist and/or scholar. For individualized attention, enrollment is limited to ten or twelve children. For rising 3rd to 12th grade students.

Edge on Science also has a leadership program for rising 10th to 12th grade students. This is an effective way to enhance their academic portfolio for college, while preparing them for success.

Sample list of what we do:

• Build a bridge.

• Design, model, simulate, build, test and fly a model rocket that flys a payload.

• Understand basic optics and then assemble a refractor telescope.

• Learn to observe and record your observations.

• Write computer code and then fly that code with a drone.

• Learn about 3D modeling, design and prototyping.

• Team build two large catapults and then use them to launch coconuts!

• Model hydraulic machines in a makerspace.

• Be empowered by completing individual and team projects.

• Use real tools and scientific instruments.

• Showcase accomplishments to family and friends!
